Recognizing that the best time to install exterior insulation is during a siding replacement project, one Calgarian homeowner decided to enhance his home’s building envelope.
Inspired by an article in the Calgary Herald highlighting the benefits of SIS Panels, he was able to utilze our solutions to give his home a fresh appearance, heightened comfort, and improved energy performance.
The homeowner praised the ease of installing the insulated sheathing, which allowed them to save significant time and effort. Initially planning to install exterior insulation followed by an additional layer of OSB, the SIS Panels offered a game-changing advantage by allowing the installation of both layers simultaneously.
“The insulated sheathing was easy to install and saved me a good bit of time. I originally was going to install exterior insulation then OSB on top of it, but this insulated sheathing let me install both layers simultaneously. Less times I have to go up and down that scaffolding the better, I was able to install everything myself without hiring a renovator. I took off the old siding and installed the sheathing right into the plywood underneath. The SIS team was great to deal with, they supported me every step of the way.”
